The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) is conducting market research for a part-time offering of the Fire Fighting Technologies Certificate (FFTC) Program. This program format would be in addition to the full-time FFTC program currently offered.

This pre-employment program provides the academic credential, extensive live-fire experience, and NFPA 1001 certification that aspiring firefighters need to pursue a career in the Fire Service. It was designed in consultation with career Fire Chiefs and is the only program in Western Canada accredited by both IFSAC and Pro Board.

This 5 minute survey is open to individuals interested in pursuing a career in the Fire Service and are looking to complete a program that provides the necessary certification and skills to be a sought-after recruit in the highly competitive recruitment process.

The survey is completely confidential and JIBC receives statistical reports based on all responses, with no identifying information unless you choose to provide it. The information you provide informs JIBC planning and prioritizing of improvements in programs and services for current and future students.
